SIA Website Accessibility Statement

Schools Insurance Authority is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all people regardless of ability or method of access.  We strive toward making our website usable for all website visitors and apply the relevant accessibility standards in that process.

Our goal is conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.0 Level AA as incorporated into Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.  Our website is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.0 Level AA.

This website has undergone an independent third-party accessibility audit and most of those recommendations have been incorporated into the website.  This includes the addition of audio description where appropriate in addition to closed captioning of our online video training programs.  We also evaluate individual web pages with the WAVE tool, add alt text where appropriate, update link names to be descriptive, and other ongoing steps to maintain website access.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on our SIA website.  Please let us know if you encounter any content or functional accessibility barriers that impact or inhibit usage.  We will prioritize encountered barriers for remediation and can assist you with your immediate needs in the interim.
