Having clear and consistent policy and training to respond to an emergency places staff in the best position to respond quickly, safely and efficiently in times of crisis. While encountering an actual device is extraordinarily rare, being prepared to respond to a threat or suspicious package is an essential training element.
In this three-hour training course presented by retired ATF Special Agent, Nina Delgadillo, attendees will learn:
• various types of bomb and suspicious package threats
• the importance of an all-staff approach to identifying and responding to bomb threats and suspicious packages
• methods to stay aware of local, state and federal threats through law enforcement updates and non-law enforcement searches
• steps staff should take immediately upon receipt of the threat before law enforcement arrives
• how staff may assist in a search and/or evacuation of a facility
