Committees
As a member of the SIA pool, district personnel have the advantage of networking with their colleagues from other member districts. The opportunity to share information improves efficiencies and increases cost savings by not "reinventing the wheel." Each SIA sub-committee addresses issues with specific responsibilities in the districts. Meetings are held on a regular basis and current topics are addressed through visiting speakers, SIA staff presentations and committee discussions and projects.
Loss Control CommitteeThe Loss Control Committee was established to address the safety and compliance requirements for districts through information and education. Each district is asked to appoint a representative. Often these representatives are maintenance and operations directors and supervisors, risk managers and others responsible for safety programs in the district. |

"SIA provides a common forum within which I am able to discuss relevant issues among my peers from other Districts.
It is a pleasure dealing with a group of highly motivated, dedicated individuals at SIA who work as a professional team to process our claims, assist our employees with injury referrals, help us control our cost through an efficient structured return to work program, and motivate member districts through prevention rather than reaction programs.
SIA goes beyond being just my insurance provider, they are my partner in helping me to do my job more efficiently, accurately, and cost effectively."
